Dirilis Ertugrul or also known as Resurrection: Ertugrul is a Turkish historical fiction and adventure drama series created by Mehmet Bozdağ and starring Engin Altan Düzyatan.
The drama is filmed in Riva village in Beykoz district of Istanbul. It was premiered on Dec 10, 2014 on TRT1 in Turkey. The show is based on the history of the Muslim Oghuz Turks and takes place in the 13th century.

Dirilis Ertugrul has a total of 5 seasons and 150 episodes with running time of 115 to 125 min each. It is available in both HD and 4K quality on TRT1.
The drama has set new records in the Muslim world as one of the most watched drama.
Due to its growing popularity, it has also been banned in few countries e.g. Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt as they consider it as expansion of soft power of Turkey in the region. Even Fatwa has been issued against Dirilis Ertugrul drama which in fact does nothing more than raise questions about the credibility of institutions issuing these Fatwas.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has recommended it as Must Watch drama and has also ensured that Pakistan Television Home Channel broadcast it in urdu.
It is worth adding here that the drama has changed the fortunes of PTV Home as it has already increased PTV Home YouTube channels subscribers beyond 300k in just two weeks. Each episode has already attracted approx 2 million views which will further increase in coming weeks.

You can watch Dirilis Ertugrul either on Netflix with English subtitles or you can also watch it online with Urdu dubbing for season 1 and rest of the season having urdu subtitles.
We personally recommend Urdu subtitles as the original sound and dialogues really help you understand the intensity of the emotions instead of urdu dubbing which takes away that factor.
