Mehwish Hayat ridiculed on social media for reciting a naat

Mehwish Hayat is one of the biggest names in Pakistan. She’s an actress that has gone on to model, she’s a great dancer and now we’re also seeing how talented she is when it comes to singing!

Apart from being in the media, she’s also a great spokesperson. She’s been a recipient of the sitara-e-imtiaz and has been raising her voice for Pakistan in interviews worldwide.

    Mehwish Hayat

In Ramzan, all of us seem to feel a lot closer to God. People use this feeling in different ways. Some do so by praying more in private while others do things in public.

We see many Naats been recited in Ramzan. Whether they are new versions of the same naats with different people reciting them or entirely new ones.

Mehwish Hayat uploaded a video to twitter. In the video she was reciting the famous naat “Karam Merey Aaqaan”.

The beautiful recitation was to bring people a little bit of joy in these difficult times but Pakistanis on Twitter had a different response.

    They started ridiculing Mehwish instead.

The trolling got so bad that Mehwish had to eventually tweet about it.

This is very important. In Ramzan, we’re supposed to be the best versions of ourselves. Everybody around us is doing whatever they can do bring the best of them out. If that means reciting a naat, so be it! It is not okay to tear someone down while they try to do what they can to feel closer to God themselves.

We have to learn that we are not in a position to judge someone else. However they practice their faith is their business and if someone’s putting themselves out there with something like a naat recitation, if you don’t like it, stay quiet and move on.

If you can’t say something nice, it’s better to say nothing at all.
