Eid is one of the biggest holidays of the year for Muslims all around the world. For Eid-ul-fiter, we’ve all just come out of a month of fasting and go all out with celebrations on Eid.
Every family has their own customs when it comes to this day. Whether it’s with food, clothes or Mehndi.
This year, the ongoing pandemic meant that Eid would be different. People couldn’t (and shouldn’t) go out to celebrate Eid. This also means that no one had “new Eid clothes”.
Many of us decided not to dress up because of this, but Mahira Khan showed everyone that it doesn’t have to be that way!
In her little closet tour, she explained how she’d use old clothes and style them in a new way to wear on Eid!
Her first choice was to pair a white shirt and dupatta combo with a printed gharara!
A lot of us own many plain basic shirts and dupattas. Pairing them with a printed bottom would totally renew the outfit!
Her second choice was her classic black “Khirad” anarkali that she stole off the sets of “Humsafar“.
This is also a piece of clothing that everyone has owned at some point. This totally plain black outfit can be jazzed up with the right accessories easily!
The third outfit was a super modern shirt and bell bottom trousers.
This is one of those outfits that you might not own together but take another look into your closet and see if you have a modern top that you can pair with a bell bottom trouser instead. It’ll give you an almost identical yet totally unique look!
Mahira giving the world a look into her closet showed us that even though we think “I literally have nothing to wear” that’s not always the case. All it takes it a little bit of creativity and you can end up with a totally new outfit for free!
