CoronaVirus has put a huge resource stress on health system across the globe. Not only under developed, but even developed countries are facing severe shortage of human and material resources to fight off Coronavirus related spike in patients.
PTI led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has just initiated a Locum Tenens system to engage health professionals in the fight against COVID-19. It has requested for health professional from across the country who are currently available with following expertise to apply for these positions.
Specialists (registered with PMDC/PMC)
- General medicine/internal medicine
- Pulmonologist
- Cardiologist
- Anaesthesiologist
- A&E physician
- Radiologist
- ENT specialist
- Paediatrician
- Nephrologist
- Intensive care specialist
- Infectious disease specialist
- Psychiatrist
General Cadre (registered with PMDC/PMC)
- MBBS or equivalent doctors
- MBBS doctors with experience in anaesthesiology, intensive care, pulmonology, A&E
Nurses (registered with PNC)
- Registered nursing (RN) in general nurses
- Specialized nursing(SN) in intensive care, cardiac care, A&E, anaesthesia
Pharmacist (registered under Pakistan Pharmacy Act 1967)
Psychologist
Paramedics (registered under KP faculty of paramedical and allied health sciences or paramedics faculty in other provinces)
- Anaesthesia
- Pulmonology
- Radiology
- Health
- Pathology
- Pharmacy
- Respiratory therapist
- Specialized technicians in anaesthesia, cardiology, dialysis, health, pathology and ICU
