In telecom industry first, Telenor Pakistan has been asking its users to “Stay Home” by advertising the message on all their 47 million connected devices. This is done to encourage social distancing that is most effective method to control Coronavirus spread across the globe.

It is high time that all the telecom operators play their due role by regularly spreading awareness among the masses in local languages. Telecom is the single most effective medium in this hour of crises that Pakistan is facing. Currently #Stayathomechallenge is also trending on Twitter where people are encouraging each other to practice social distancing and impose self isolation.
Let’s see if other operators follow suit and also come up with other innovative solutions.
